Cruz Roja Delegacion Lago de Chapala operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and serves more than 350,000 people living and visiting on the north and south shores of Lake Chapala, and in numerous small villages surrounding the lake.

Mission Statement for Cruz Roja Chapala Volunteers: "To seek all possible opportunities for fundraising to support the endeavors of the Cruz Roja Chapala."
We appreciate any help we can get, our resources are stretched to the limit! Please use our help page and give as much as possible. Every Peso or Dollar is important.

You may use your credit cards or PayPal account to make a donation now or you may take your donation to the Cruz Roja table at the Lake Chapala Society during their open hours or to the Cruz Roja in Chapala which is open 24/7.

You are invited to a celebration of our Cruz Roja Paramedics at 4:00 PM in the Garden of the Cruz Roja Delegation. There is also a Mass at 10:00 AM in LA PARROQUIA DE SAN FRANCISCO DE ASI and a ceremony at the cemetary at 11:00 AM. For more information email Norm Pifer Send Email to Norm Pifer

Is it a stroke?

A stroke victim can suffer brain damage if the symptoms are not recognized quickly.

You can help diagnose stroke, even if you are not a trained professional:

1. Ask the person to smile.
2. Ask him/her to raise both arms.
3. Ask the person to speak a simple sentence.

If the individual has difficulty with any of these simple tasks, call for medical help immediately.



Calendar for Cruz Roja Fundraising Events & Activities

National fund raising and the lottery cover less than one-half of the operating budget for Cruz Roja.

Volunteers work tirelessly on local fund raising events throughout the year to help keep the deficit under control, and to keep our Lakeside community Cruz Roja services available.

You can help by attending these events or by making a donation that is
tax deductible under the tax laws of both the US and Canada.

October 30th

The Cruz Roja 2008 Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, October 30th at the Chapala Country Club starting at 9 AM. It will be preceeded on Tuesday, October 28th by a "Calcutta team auction" at the Chapala Country Club starting at 5 PM followed by a dinner for those who wish to stay (reservations required).

We need hole sponsors, prize donors, and contributors for this golf tournament. We would like to make this event a very successful fundraiser. We need your help. Please call Richard Belair at 766-6104.

You can buy tickets for golf and dinner ($1200p) or simply for dinner only ($250p) at the Cruz Roja table at LCS or call June Cooper at 766-5625.
