You Can Help!

I would like to make a one time donation of USD to Cruz Roja Chapala using my credit card or PayPal.

It is important that Cruz Roja Chapala has a steady income flow so that the monthly expenses are covered and our services don’t have lapses. So you may also make a monthly pledge to support Cruz Roja Chapala.

Please indicate the amount of your monthly pledge and click the PayPal Subscribe button below to pledge to make a monthly Tax Deductable Charitable Donation through our American 501C(3) Non-Profit structure. You may use your American credit cards but you need to have a PayPal account to make a recurring monthly donation. PayPal accounts are free and they only take a moment to set up.

You may alter or cancel your pledge at any time. Any amount you can give helps. Remember, as always, the life you save may be your own.

I would like to pledge USD a month to Cruz Roja Chapala.

There are lots of other ways that you can help Cruz Roja Chapala, even if you think that you don't have time to attend the meetings or to participate as an active volunteer. (See below how to become a volunteer.)

-- You can drop a few coins into the collection boxes that have been placed around the community.

-- You can attend local functions and activities that are organized and hosted by the Cruz Roja International Volunteers. These fund raisers are always fun and reasonably priced ... and the money goes to a worthy cause. If you can't attend an event, think about buying a ticket or two as a gift for a friend!

-- You can purchase fundraising items. These items vary from time to time. They are always useful and / or handy --- and they are always a good source for Christmas, birthday, and thank-you gifts. You can purchase fundraising items at LCS from a Cruz Roja volunteer.

-- You can inquire about what items are needed (Cruz Roja Chapala "Wish List") and maybe contribute an item or two .... or give a little money toward the purchase. Contact Norm Pifer Send Email to Norm Pifer or Charlie Klestadt Send Email to Charlie Klestadt for more details.

You can become a CRIVC Volunteer. The group meets once each month, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. Meetings are currently being held in the Lake Chapala Society Gazebo on the first Wednesday of the month. Meetings generally start on time, so try not to be late!

Click here for the Volunteer Application Form in PDF format. Print it, fill it out, and take it to Norm Pifer or one of the other Cruz Roja Officers. You must also include one infantile size photo, which can be made at Guadalajara Pharmacy in just a few minutes. The cost is approximately 25 pesos.

In-Kind Giving

An in-kind donation is a contribution of items and/or services in lieu of cash. Examples of in-kind donations the Cruz Roja International Volunteers Chapala, Inc. seek include:

Services from companies: printing, shipping, banners, graphic and video design and meeting and event facilities.
Services from professionals: doctors, trainers, consultants, and designers.
Donated goods: water, blankets, single sheets, tarps, paper products, cell phones, office supplies, non-perishable foods and beverages.
Items for our Clinics: blood pressure cuffs, arm & leg splints, bandages, washcloths, wet wipes, paper towels, sponges, thermometers, Lysol, bleach, baking soda, garbage cans/bags and medical diagnostic and treatment equipment.
On going patient care items: walkers, canes, bedside commode and shower chairs.
Bequests: from wills, estates and trusts.

We sincerely appreciate all offers of donations that may help Cruz Roja efforts to save lives. Unfortunately, government and other regulations will not permit us to accept certain items. We can not accept any form of motorized transportation or perishable items such as food stuffs. Donated goods must be new or in good working order and not at the end of their useful life expectancy.

All donations must be delivered to the Cruz Roja Chapala Clinic at Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. The donor is responsible for all transportation, duty, taxes or other charges for delivery.  We regret this requirement but it is the only way we have of assuring the value of the donated item(s) does not exceed our cost of purchasing the item(s) locally. The donor may include these costs in the value of the donated item(s) when requesting a receipt for the donation.

When thinking about donating goods or services to the Cruz Roja International Volunteers Chapala, Inc. please contact us so we may determine if we have a need for the product or service and/or the means to accept your donation.
